Our Story

Hi, I’m Yifon, founder of Lips Carpenter.

Before starting Lips Carpenter, I worked as an actuary in the United States and Malaysia. Long hours, stress, and harsh beauty products left my lips dry, sensitive, and easily irritated. Like many people, I struggled to find lip products that felt gentle, safe, and comfortable for everyday use.

So I started making my own.

Together with my sister, Yi-Xian, we began creating natural lip balms in my brother’s apartment, experimenting with cleaner ingredients and gentle formulations. As we shared our products with friends and family, we realised beauty was not only about how a product looked, but how it made people feel. A lip balm could become daily comfort. A personalised lipstick engraved with someone’s name could become a meaningful gift.
